Best Collaboration Award!

|

bestcollabaward.jpg Our short film about Art Seaman, "Skating The Pacific To Europe," took home the "Best Collaboration" award last night at the Riverview Theater and we were one of the five award-winning films (out of seventy-three submissions) from the 2007 MNHS MGG Moving Pictures Festival!
I seriously don't know how the judges made their decisions with such a high caliber of movies submitted this year but we are honored to have been selected. If you weren't able to attend the screening or awards, you can watch the five winning films online at the Minnesota Historical Society website. You can also read the "Legacy News" special article about the event and films.
Art Seaman was an inspiration to us and we certainly miss his presence out on the rink. This award is dedicated to his memory.

Moving Pictures Festival

Please join us Sunday, October 21st 2007, at the Minnesota History Center for an afternoon of 60 short documentary films, including two created by us from our longer-form work on this project. "Skating The Pacific To Europe" tells the story of Arthur Seaman, 1948 Olympian, and his Hawaiian adventures with ice. "My Name Is McNamara" explores the 1952 Olympics and European events of Matthew McNamara. Both films screen during the 3:00pm timeslot, so make sure not to miss them!
City Pages said that our film "makes beautiful use of still shots" and we hope you agree. KARE-11 Saturday morning also featured our film on October 20, 2007.
